The pile foundation project of Dongjiakou crude oil commercial storage project (phase I) of Qingdao port is located in Dongjiakou port area of Qingdao port, north of Wei 15 road and east of Jing 10 road. The site covers an area of about 1.12 million m2. This project is phase Ⅰ
The work scope includes the following: site leveling, drilling mud pit excavation and recovery, positioning and setting out, casing burying, drilling mud manufacturing, waste drilling mud cleaning and transportation, put the drilling rig in place, drilling, borehole cleaning, reinforcement cage manufacturing, transportation and installation, pipe laying, concrete pouring, excavation and removal of soil between piles, pile head chiseling and transportation, pile head reinforcement arrangement and pile foundation inspection, temporary road maintenance, test and other work required to complete the above construction content.
More than 350 management and construction personnel were put into the project. On top of that, 54 impact drilling rigs, 2 rotary drilling rigs, 3 forklifts, 8 excavators, 2 slurry transportation trucks, 3 50t crawler cranes, 3 70t crawler cranes and 3 25t crawler cranes. From August 21, 2019 to December 16, 2019, the total construction period is 116 calendar days. 1,218 piles have been completed. The actual completed workload is 35,478.2m.
The pile integrity test of the project: 100% of piles are tested by low strain integrity testing; 20% of the piles are tested by crosshole sonic logging; If the pile length is more than 40m, the crosshole sonic logging should be used to determine the integrity of the pile. Bearing capacity test of single pile: 3 piles are tested by static load test of pile; 5% of the piles are tested by high-strain dynamic load testing. After testing, 99% of the piles are Class Ⅰ piles and the rest 1% of the piles are Class Ⅱ piles. Thus, all of them meet the owner’s quality requirements.
All staff of the project department have fully carried forward the spirit of not afraid of hardship and tiredness, and have the courage to work hard. Under the same conditions, the construction progress far exceeds that of the other two construction organizations, showing exquisite business level and good team spirit.
