The project is located in Huanggang City, Hubei Province, invested by PetroChina Kunlun Gas Company Limited. Our company was responsible for the construction of 252 piles under the storage tank, with a minimum pile spacing of 3.2m and a pile diameter of 1200mm. The construction adopts the pile and column integration construction technology, and the hole is formed by rotary drilling rig.
The project started on September 29, 2021, and completed on October 28, 2021, meeting the requirements of the contract period. The pile length of the bored pile in this project is determined based on the pile end entering the moderately weathered gneiss at a depth that meets the design requirements, while the surface of moderately weathered gneiss is highly undulating and difficult to determine the surface of moderately weathered gneiss. In the construction process, firstly, the approximate depth of the holding level is estimated according to the survey report and the pile design drawings, and then when the drilling rig drills to this depth, the slag sample is taken for every 30cm of excavation, and the rock surface is determined after confirmation by the geologist and the supervisor to ensure that the construction quality requirements are met.
After the completion of the project, the owner commissioned a third-party pile foundation testing unit to carry out testing. Through the vertical static load test, acoustic transmission method and low strain test, the testing results were all qualified and met the contract quality requirements.
