This project is located in Anning City, Kunming, invested by Wuhan Iron and Steel Group Kunming Iron and Steel Company Limited, and our company was responsible for the pile foundation construction of this project. The length of bored piles varies from 13m to 33m. The stratum surrounding the pile body is mainly composed of prime fill, clay, sandstone, etc.
The project started on November 5, 2020 and was completed on January 25, 2022, with more than 300 piles with diameter of 600mm and more than 400 piles with diameter of 800mm. During the construction of this project, it is necessary to pass through the deepest backfill layer of about 8m, and it is very easy to collapse during the construction of the hole in this stratum. The problem of collapsing hole was solved by using the way of lengthening casing to pass through the fill layer.
The pile foundation of this project was mainly tested by low strain test, high strain test, single pile vertical compressive static load test and single pile horizontal static load test, and the single pile vertical compressive static load test and single pile horizontal static load test met the design requirements, and the high strain and low strain tests were all qualified. The test results of each test pile all meet the design requirements.
