The Dhafra PV2 solar power plant project is located in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and is invested by Dhafrah PV2 Energy Company LLC. A total of 109,504 H-beam piles with a diameter of 300mm and 34,909 H-beam piles with a diameter of 400mm were completed in the project, and the length of concrete wrapped piles was 2.05-2.8m, in addition to 1,880 piles with a diameter of 300mm for sweeping robots, and 36 piles with a diameter of 450mm for robotic communication towers.
The pile foundation construction of DhafraPV2 solar power plant started on January 5, 2022 and was completed on March 10, 2023, which meets the general contractor's 187-day schedule. In this project, for the difficult problem of H-beam steel positioning during installation, the personnel of the project department developed a positioning aid device consisting of positioning plastic pads, tic-tac-toe square logs and steel calipers, which improved the precision and efficiency of vertical positioning, horizontal positioning, angular positioning and perpendicularity control during the installation of H-beam steel piles of the same group, and formed the national patent of "A Device for Rapidly Adjusting the Perpendicularity of H-beam Steel Sheet Piles" (Patent No.: 2022232184583). At the same time, for the construction of H-beam steel micro-pile, we carried out "Research on Construction Technology of H-beam Steel Micro-Pile Foundation for Ground-based Photovoltaic Power Station in Desert Areas", and applied for the provincial construction method "Construction Method of H-beam Steel Micro-Pile Foundation for Ground-based Photovoltaic Power Station in Desert Areas".
During the construction process, the project department carried out the construction in strict accordance with the design, specifications and program requirements, without any quality accidents, and the quality is in line with the acceptance standards stipulated by the owner.
