Changyuan Power Hanchuan Company Phase IV 2×1000MW Expansion Project is located in Hanchuan City, Hubei Province, which is invested by Guoneng Changyuan Hanchuan Power Generation Co., Ltd. with a total of 4,776 pipe piles, of which 276 are PHC 500 AB 100 piles and 4,500 are PHC 600 AB 110 piles.
The pile foundation construction for Lot H2 started on July 11, 2023, and was concluded on January 28, 2024. This project is more difficult to manage because the construction area is scattered. In this regard, the project department actively communicated with the design institute on the order of drawing, and planned in advance to arrange the raw materials for pipe piles in the direction of traveling and the logistic support work such as on-site road paving and drainage supply to ensure the continuity of the piling machine construction and to ensure the owner's schedule requirements. In addition, the construction area of the pipe belt machine is located in the Phase III power plant, which involves the demolition of 10kV high-voltage lines, demolition and relocation of sheds, removal of trees, demolition of monitors and removal of screens, etc. The project department actively coordinated and communicated with the owner, and made every effort to promote the removal and cleaning of obstacles in the construction area. As some piles were on the train tracks, the project department actively communicated with the railroad, planned the construction program with the owner and the supervisory side, took corresponding measures, and successfully completed the construction task. Pass the third party test with 100% qualification rate.
During the construction process, the project department widely collected the information related to automatic welding of pipe piles, and developed an automatic welding tooling for pipe piles, which can realize the automatic welding of pipe piles when joining the piles, the welding speed can be adjusted, and the welding equipments can also use the CO2 welding equipments that come with the original pile driver. It is easy to learn, has manual controller, and can also realize the fine adjustment in the welding process, the weld seam is full and even, and can meet the automatic welding requirements.
