This project is located in Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, and is invested by Fujian Zhongsha Petrochemical Co., Ltd. It serves as one of the key units within the 1.5 million tons/year ethylene and downstream deep processing complex. Our company was responsible for all piling works for its core production unit—the 400,000 tons/year bimodal high-density polyethylene unit—laying a solid foundation for the smooth progress of this major chemical project.
The project commenced on June 5, 2024, and was completed on August 10, 2024, meeting the overall construction schedule requirements of the general contractor. A total of 302 reinforced concrete bored piles were completed, each with a diameter of 800 millimeters and lengths ranging from 13 to 28 meters. The piles were founded on moderately weathered granite (layer ⑧~3~) as the reliable bearing stratum. The project involved approximately 3,193.5 cubic meters of C35 impermeable (P8 grade) concrete and 160 tons of steel reinforcement, completing all piling tasks with high quality.
During implementation, the project faced challenges posed by complex strata including silt-fine sand and silty clay. To address these, customized slurry for wall protection was prepared through laboratory mix tests using high-quality bentonite, soda ash, and cellulose, effectively ensuring borehole quality and pile integrity. Third-party testing confirmed a 100% first-time pass rate for all 302 piles, with static load, low-strain, and horizontal load test results all meeting standards.
The project strictly implemented standardized management, with comprehensive on-site safety warnings and publicity. Dedicated personnel and equipment were assigned for road cleaning and dust control. Throughout the entire construction period, the project successfully maintained a "zero-injury" safety record, earning high praise from both the client and the general contractor. This recognition fully affirmed our company's strong technical capabilities under complex geological conditions, excellent quality control standards, and efficient project coordination.
