This project is located in Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, and represents a significant energy project deployed by the State Power Investment Corporation in Central China. It involves the construction of two new 1000MW ultra-supercritical double-reheat coal-fired generating units. Our Group Company was responsible for all foundation works (Lot I) within the Phase I expansion site.
The project encompassed the complete series of foundation works from site leveling to main structural piling. Key quantities included:
a. 1.9 million cubic meters of earthworks.
b. 220,000 square meters of ground improvement via dynamic compaction.
c. 1,645 bored piles with a diameter of 600 millimeters.
d. 1,600 bored piles with a diameter of 800 millimeters.
e. 800 cubic meters of C20 rubble concrete retaining walls.
f. 280 cubic meters of skeletal slope protection.
Construction commenced on November 10, 2023, and was completed on December 1, 2025, spanning 782 days and successfully fulfilling the contractual schedule target. Throughout construction, the project team successfully addressed a series of complex technical challenges: precise surveying and measurement enabled efficient handling and distribution of 1.9 million cubic meters of earthwork; optimized construction parameters and monitoring ensured "zero-disturbance" construction adjacent to the existing Phase I power plant; despite a tight schedule and long rainy season, a well-planned work sequence guaranteed the high-quality completion of all 3,245 piles; critical high-risk activities, such as chimney foundation excavations exceeding 10 meters in depth, were under strict control to ensure absolute safety; and the coordination of substantial equipment and personnel enabled efficient and orderly concurrent operations.
The project achieved a 100% qualification rate for all works, fully meeting design and national standard requirements. Over the entire construction period exceeding two years, an excellent HSE record of "zero accidents, zero pollution, zero occupational diseases" was successfully maintained. The project received high praise from both the client and the general contractor, who unanimously recognized our company's outstanding performance in project quality, safety, schedule control, and coordination under complex site conditions. This performance laid a decisive foundation for the smooth progress of the Xinfeng Power Plant, a provincially significant energy project.
