The Phase II Syr Darya Project is located in the Syr Darya Region of Uzbekistan and is invested by ENERSOK. This project represents one of the largest gas-fired combined cycle power plants under construction in Central Asia, holding significant strategic importance for alleviating regional power shortages and improving energy efficiency. Our company was responsible for the full-site piling construction works.
The project commenced on December 22, 2023, and was fully completed on March 20, 2025. A total of 2,321 reinforced concrete bored piles were completed, comprising 1,512 piles with a diameter of 0.8 meters and 809 piles with a diameter of 0.6 meters. Third-party inspection confirmed a 100% qualification rate, marking the high-quality completion of all construction tasks.
Funded by international capital, the project strictly adheres to International Finance Corporation (IFC) standards as well as codes and regulations from Uzbekistan, the US, China, Germany, and other countries. Personnel involved in the project hailed from over ten nations, requiring simultaneous compliance with eight categories of requirements, including Uzbekistan's GOST standards, American ASME codes, and German DIN industrial standards. Throughout the project, the mobilization of personnel, materials, and machinery was meticulously planned and executed according to the construction organization design, successfully fulfilling all construction objectives. No quality or safety incidents occurred during construction, and all acceptance results met the quality inspection and evaluation standards stipulated in the contract. Furthermore, ESHS (Environment, Social, Health, and Safety) management was implemented in strict accordance with the IFC international standards, demonstrating a high level of international cooperation and regulatory compliance.
The project's outstanding performance earned unanimous praise from the investor ENERSOK, the general contractor, and the international supervision team. All parties fully affirmed our company's construction resilience under challenging conditions, complex international standard execution capability, and exceptional cross-cultural project management skills.
